The Yakuza spinoff, Judgment, is getting its worldwide release later this year (after suffering a rather unusual speed bump), and a big highlight of the game is its story, a gritty crime drama populated with less than moral characters. Sega and RGG Studios have been highlighting the English dub the game will receive with various videos, and have talked about how the dub tries to convey Japanese culture. Recently, they released a new video highlighting Matt Yang King as a shifty cop named Kazuya Ayabe.
King is an actor who has had recurring roles on various television shows, such as Riverdale, but is no stranger to voice acting in games, either. He’s provided VA for World of Warcraft, Injustice, and, most recently, Mortal Kombat 11. In the video below you can see King breaking down his thought process behind his performance, what type of character Ayabe is, and even get a peek into how he likes to act out his lines in studio.
