Not as good as Xbox Live Games With Gold this month.

The lineup for PlayStation Plus’ Instant Game Collection service has been announced for the month of July, and it seems to be a largely mediocre haul overall this month. Unlike Xbox Live Games with Gold, which is offering games such as Gears of War 3 and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag this time around, Sony’s selection appears to be largely forgettable.

The titles are either poorly received, or smaller indie games. One of them, Rocket League, is a game that I guess had a fair amount of hype going into it. It will be available to PS+ members for free right as it launches, so I guess that is a good thing.

The list is:

PS4:

  • Styx Master of Shadows

PS3:

  • Rain
  • Mousecraft (+PS4/Vita)

Vita:

  • Geometry Wars 3
  • Entwined (+PS4)

Personally, in case you could not tell, I cannot say I am much of a fan of this offering, but I guess it is what it is.
