Undying Dark Souls
Whether you’re a fan of the series or not, there’s no denying that From Software’s Dark Souls has quite the fan following especially among developers in the industry. The game has been featured as an Easter egg in numerous titles like Borderlands 2, World of Warcraft, Dota 2 and so on. Just Cause 3 is no different – head to the island of Cauda and you’ll discover what appears to be a rifle sticking out of a wood pile. Inspect this a little bit closer and you’ll gain the option to light the bonfire. The familiar ding should be heard and there you go. In Dark Souls, bonfires are used to restore one’s health, level up and much more. We doubt Rico will need one any time soon considering all the bonfires he could light in Medici but it’s a cool nod all the same.
