Two things characterize the Just Cause series- a vast, open world sandbox that gives the players loads of rooms and toys to play with; and the glorious, real time destruction that makes playing in that sandbox actually worth it.

The new developer diary for the upcoming Just Cause 3 takes a closer look at the destruction that can said to be the heart and soul of the game. In this video, the team at Avalanche discusses the dynamic nature of the technology and the unique scenarios and emergent storytelling that this gives birth to.

“We’ve been focused purely on the new generation of high-end technology from the very beginning of development” said Game Director Roland Lesterlin “this huge amount of extra horsepower allows us to do things that simply weren’t possible until now”.

You can check all of this out for yourself in the developer diary, embedded below for your convenience.

Just Cause 3 will launch on December 1 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
