Have you had a chance to buy a dedicated external HDD for your Xbox One? Or PS4? If not, you may want to consider it – the Xbox Store has Avalanche Software’s Just Cause 3 listed as requiring 42.49 GB on the Xbox One. This is pretty much in line with other upcoming console releases like Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate which also require as much space. Don’t expect the PS4 and PC versions to be much smaller either.

Just Cause 3 does a lot to justify its size though, taking place in a large world roughly 1,000 square kilometres in size. Players will have a variety of activities like blowing stuff up, hooking onto objects/planes/people and causing them to collapse/explode/fly, driving all manner of vehicles, scaling skyscrapers and so on. If Just Cause 3 captures even some of the chaos of the second game, it’s a bonafide hit in our hearts.

Just Cause 3 releases on December 1st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on the large installation size? Let us know in the comments.
