Just Cause 3’s Engine Seems To Be Incompatible With All Multi-GPU Solutions

Not this again...

Remember the debacle that was the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight? I am not even referring to the game’s terrible launch, followed by the mass refunds, the game being pulled from sale, spending another few months being extensively patched, being released again, still being broken, and then Warner Bros. just giving up on it. No, I’m referring to the fact that the entire game was fundamentally incompatible with multi GPU solutions- SLI and Crossfire owners were left with a terrible product on their hands.

And now we have another game just like that- Just Cause 3, it seems, is incompatible with all multi GPU solutions. PC users first picked up on it when they realized that Nvidia’s game specific driver for the title forces the game to run in Single GPU mode.

Nvidia confirmed the issue, also confirming that the game was incompatible with multi GPU solutions.“The engine is incompatible with all multi-GPU solutions, so no SLI support at this time,” said Nvidia’s Andrew Burnes.

So… the game has performance issues on consoles , and the PC version is not compatible with multiple GPU set ups – what the hell was Avalanche doing, exactly, all this time?
