Just Cause 4, Rage 2, Gears of War 5 Listed on Walmart Canada Site – Rumour

A number of significant listings before E3 2018 but how many are plausible?

Posted By | On 09th, May. 2018

Retailer listings being leaked prior to the Electronic Entertainment Expo is nothing new – it’s the releases in question that get us thinking. Case in point, Walmart Canada had a number of new entries on its “New Releases” page before removing the same. Wario64 on Twitter obtained a screencap of the games though and some of them range from the intriguing to the bizarre.

For instance, Just Cause 4, Dragon Quest 2 for PS4 and Xbox One, Splinter Cell, Borderlands 3, Rage 2, Gears of War 5 and Assassin’s Creed Origins: Ace-Helix stand out. Considering how Rage 2 was cancelled once upon a time while there’s been no discussion about Just Cause 4, one has to wonder whether they’d be announced at E3 2018.

Of course, it’s time to strap your skepticism hat on because some listings are just strange. Final Fantasy 7 Remake for the Xbox One? Forza Horizon 5? We haven’t had a Forza Horizon 4 yet. Take this as a rumour but also keep in mind that some of these might be placeholder listings. For example, Destiny 2 Comet, with “Comet” being a common codename used for large expansions in franchise.

What are your thoughts on the listings? Which do you believe could be erroneous? Let us know in the comments below.
