Fresh off of the huge success and completed DLC for Guerrilla Games’ first massive open world epic, Horizon: Zero Dawn, a designer and executive producer on Guerrilla Games’ team have moved onto new challenges with Hanger 13, the studio behind Mafia 3.
Mark Norris, executive producer for Horizon, and David Ford, designer on the game, have announced via Twitter (Norris is now Game Director at Hanger 13, according to his Twitter profile) that they’ve moved on from Guerrilla Games and joined Hanger 13 on an as of yet unannounced project. It’s nothing new for developers to move between different studios following major projects, and they’ll be joining another talented team bringing us great content in the future.
Additionally it seems like Hanger 13 is seeking a senior combat designer as well as developers with general open world experience. Whether they’re working on the next Mafia or something completely different is unknown, but which would you prefer? Tell us in the comments just below.
Well now that I’m all settled in it’s announcement time: As of today I’m no longer at Guerrilla Games and am now working at Hangar 13 as a Design Director. I loved my time in Amsterdam but I’m excited for the new chapter ahead.
