A variety of stats and perks are conducive to embarking on a chaotic/evil run of pickpocketing both citizens and criminals, and burglarizing their homes and hideouts. However, these items will be tracked and you can be caught if you try to sell it to the wrong merchant. Ideally, once you go down this route, you will also have access to less discerning merchants who will buy anything without a care.
Crafting
Smithing weapons for sale can be the source of a steady income, with the right item and materials. The Blacksmith Radovan in Tachov can provide you with both the necessary training and item schematic to get you started. Ingredients are readily available for cheap or free, and the final product turns a nice profit in bulk quantities.
Gambling and save scumming
Any tavern will have a dice table where you can gamble away your precious Groschen. Save the game first, then wager every last coin on a bet. If you succeed, save again and repeat the process. Should you fail, simply reload the game to the point before you lost it all.
Competitions
Whether bare-knuckle brawling or archery, any test of skill can be wagered upon for some quick returns. Be sure to seek out and participate in these tournaments to reap their rewards.
