Remember Warhorse Studios’ Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the medieval open world action RPG that would let players chart their own path? There hasn’t been a lot of information about it in the past several months but things seem to be on track for release early next year. In a new gameplay trailer, the developer has showcased the brutal combat system that players will use to deliver pain.

With three different types of attacks, from slashing and stabbing to kicking, and five directions to execute them, players will essentially have to outsmart their enemies to win. There will be certain combos that can be used to gain an advantage, stamina for fighting effectively (it needs to be recharged through eating, sleeping and taking care of your health) and special finishers.

Different weapons include swords, spears, bows, maces, axes, etc. Blocking is also possible and if you really don’t want to kill your opponent, then unarmed combat is the way to go. Kingdom Come: Deliverance arrives on February 13th 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC via Steam.
