There’s very little doubt that there is a ton of interest in Kingdom Hearts 3, despite the fact that it hasn’t even been confirmed as coming anytime soon. That massive amount of interest has been piling up for a while now and as a kind of special holiday gift to the fans, the development team posted a number of answers to questions fans of the game have asked them over the course of the year.

Among the many questions that were asked of the team apparently, was why the company divulged the first scene in the game in the way that they did. The company let us all know the firm had some very specific reasons for doing “There are many reasons for this, but one of them is that we are prioritizing the creation of new worlds in KH3, and we would have to consider the reveal timing of those worlds, making sure that we discuss with Disney. That opening scene is very versatile, since it doesn’t involve those new worlds, plus it’s a great asset to use as a prologue to build up excitement towards KH3,” Tetsuya Nomura said.

In other words, Square Enix wanted to make sure that they didn’t divulge anything we hadn’t already seen before. The company added in their answer that none of the scenes they have shown off are locked in as being in the game for sure. The company said another reason they showed off the opening scene the way it did is because it wants to be able to change Kingdom Hearts 3 if the development team’s heart desires before it finally hits the street.
