Update: The author of the original article on The Koalition got in touch with GamingBolt and has clarified that Okayama’s statement did not implied that the game will actually be present at E3. The author further clarified that new information may be revealed during or after E3.

Original Story:

Kingdom Hearts 3 has been awaited for almost as long as Final Fantasy 15 has been- mercifully, though, it has not been in development for quite as long. Thankfully, that doesn’t mean that we’re too far out from its release- the game’s development seems to be coming along swimmingly well, and chances are, we’ll end up seeing it out by next year.

But we won’t have to wait that long to actually see it- at PAX East 2016, which just concluded a few weeks ago, Senior Editor Jakejames Lugo of The Koalition had a chance to interview Hironori Okayama, the producer of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, and during that interview, Lugo learned that the next bit of news for Kingdom Hearts 3 will be coming at E3- so just a month away! Mark your calendars, everybody.

Kingdom Hearts 3 will be out on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One- no PC version has been announced yet, though if Square Enix’s promise to look into PC development for Final Fantasy 15 is any indication, it may just be a matter of time before the question of a PC version for Kingdom Hearts comes up too.
