Recently, there had been rumours circulating the internet that Kingdom Hearts III may not be releasing on the Xbox One after all, but it has now been confirmed that that will not be the case when the game does finally launch.

After the Xbox One logo was removed from the Kingdom Hearts 3 website, fans started speculating that the game would not be releasing on the Microsoft console. The fact that the preceeding Kingdom Hearts 2.8 was released exclusively for the PS4, and that Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV sold most of its copies on Sony’s system, also only solidified that theory.

However, Square have now confirmed that the removal of the Xbox One logo was merely an error on their part, and that the game is still set to be launched simultaneously on the Microsoft system when it launches. The missing logo has now also been added back to the website.

For Xbox One owners, that is definitely good news.

Stay tuned for more updates on all things Kingdom Hearts III.
