Kingdom Hearts 3’s Epilogue and Patch 1.01 Will Be Out Before Game Release

The secret movie, meanwhile, will come shortly after launch.

Kingdom Hearts 3

The Epilogue for Kingdom Hearts 3 is not actually included in the game right out of the box—it’s supposed to be added to the game separately (which is one great way of containing leaks for a game that has been over a decade in the coming). Now we know when exactly the Epilogue will be added to the game.

Square Enix shared information regarding their plans for the post-launch support for the eagerly anticipated action RPG, and apparently, the Epilogue and Patch 1.01 will both be added to the game ahead of its launch—the patch on January 25 (adding the Memory Archives to the game), and the Epilogue on January 26 (you will need to complete the game before you can watch the Epilogue, obviously). A further patch on January 31 will add a secret movie, which you can only watch if you complete the game and complete specific requirements along the way.

Kingdom Hearts 3 launches for PS4 and Xbox One on January 29.
