Most games these days are expected to offer hours upon hours of content- player engagement is a term that is thrown around a lot, and to keep players engaged, oftentimes developers include as much content into their game as they can. That is even truer for RPGs.
Kingdom Hearts 3, being the RPG-est of RPGs, is expected to have a great deal of content on offer, and recently, it was revealed by a preview posted on Geek.com that the game would have, in total, upwards of 80 hours of content. Now, though, that preview has been updated, and it now states that the final length of the game is something Square Enix are yet to nail down (as told to them by a Square Enix rep).
Given the fact that there are still several months to go before the game finally launches, the game might end up removing (or potentially even adding) content, which could potentially have an impact on its final runtime. That said, one thing that we can be fairly certain of is that it’s going to be a pretty meaty experience. It would have to undergo a pretty heavy restructuring for that to change.
Kingdom Hearts 3 launches on January 29 next year for the PS4 and Xbox One.
