Kingdom Hearts 3 has been a very long time coming. The previous numbered entry in the series came out on the PS2, and Kingdom Hearts 3 itself was officially announced five years ago. Square Enix has stated multiple times that the game will be finally coming out this year- but we don’t know exactly when.
Now, a rumor has emerged, claiming that the game will be releasing in the third quarter of the year- and that it release date will be announced next month. The rumors are anonymously sourced, but allegedly come from the same source that also leaked The World Ends With You on the Nintendo Switch- so take this for what it is.
If these rumors are true, then they would align with the way the release of Final Fantasy 15 was originally handled, with a (then) Q3 release date announced in March. Kingdom Heats 3 is due to launch on PS4 and Xbox One.
