Kojima is Making An Adventure Game

Posted By | On 19th, Jul. 2010

After a lot of subtle, and often downright tantalising, hints as to what his next proeject may be, Kojima has finally made a clean breast of it, reports Chiyomaru Shikura, boss of Japanese media company 5pb, and longtime Kojima collabortaor. Apparently, Kojima’s next project is not a Metal Gear game. The next Kojima project is, rather, an adventure game that the developer is designing, which will be the third entry in a conceptual science series. Hmm.

“The meaning of why I am personally connected to this project is that this is the third entry in a conceptual science series,” said Shikura. “And that it is a project with Kojima.”

“Kojima told me that he wanted to make an adventure game. We’re at the still stage where we need to go to a secluded spot in the mountains and hash this project out, and thus, we don’t have any of the minute details hammered out.”

This all certainly sounds immensely intriguing. What makes it even more so is the ruimoured involvement of No More Heroes creator Suda 51, who has been spotted with Kojima several times over the year. Could he be involved with the new project too?

We’ll have more on this as it develops, so watch this space.
