Kojima thinks that consoles will die, and another surprise.

This morning Konami held a Press Conference in which Kojima said that he thinks that home consoles will be dead and the future, and that portable gaming is what will come on top.

“In the near future, we’ll have games that don’t depend on any platform, gamers should be able to take the experience with them in their living rooms, on the go, when they travel — wherever they are and whenever they want to play. It should be the same software and the same experience.” Said Kojima.

Hiroshi Kawano, the SCEJ boss responded to Kojima’s comment by saying:

“We hope he continues to develop for platforms, but we deeply respect his sense of taking on a challenge.”

Another i would like to mention, is that in this Press Conference, in which yesterday we said that Kojima is going to announce something big related to Peace Walker, Kojima announced that there will be a collaboration with Capcom, which will bring a new bonus mode in the game in which…..Snake is a….Monster Hunter! That’s right, Monster Hunters and Metal Gear Solid will unite as a bonus mode in the soon to be released Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
