Kojima’s Next Big Project: Metal Gear Solid 5?

Posted By | On 07th, Jul. 2010

In an interview with Famitsu’s publisher Enterbrain CEO Hirokazu Hamamura, the man, the legend, Hideo Kojima said that his next project “might be Metal Gear Solid 5.”

“The next project is amazing,” he said. “The plan is pretty much solidified. Although recently, it has wavered a bit.”

When asked if this “next project” is Metal Gear Solid 5, Kojima said, “For the next game I make, it’s either MGS5 or an original game. I only have these two choices.”

Wait a second… wasn’t Metal Gear Solid 2 supposed to be the last Metal Gear game? And we’ve had two more main titles after that, not to mention a hundred spin-offs? Oh well.

Still, I wish this was true. If this is a new MGS game, then YIPPEE! If not, then YIPPEE!

Your thoughts? Are you excited? Do you think  there will be an MGS5? If yes, then on which platform? Will it be another PS3 exclusive, or will it be on the Xbox 360 as well this time?
