League of Legends Receiving Client Overhaul, New Features Revealed

Riot will be updating its popular MOBA with a brand new interface and much more.

Riot Games has decided to revamp the client for League of Legends, it’s insanely popular MOBA which is played by millions worldwide. The developer is looking to overhaul its client completely and introduce new features for fans.

These include a new interface with a brand new look; social features like Parties and Clubs; a Friends mobile app along with a standalone Friends list for organizing your contacts while in-game; better support for future content updates and much more.

Though a specific date for the updated client hasn’t been revealed, Riot will be inviting level 30 players with positive reputations to volunteer in an alpha client through the 2016 season. Sign-ups will start next year itself so in the meantime, stay tuned for more information on the main site.
