TT Games’ LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight appears set to hit its launch date. A new tweet confirms that the open-world title has gone gold, though as so often happens, you can probably expect a day-one patch to address various issues.
Pooling all of the Caped Crusader’s media from comic books to movies and TV shows, Legacy of the Dark Knight channels the hero’s entire history into a new origin story. Yes, that means we’ll control Bruce as he trains with the League of Assassins, dons the cowl and becomes the protector of Gotham City. He’ll team with allies like Robin, Nightwing, Catwoman and even Commissioner James Gordon to fight against the likes of Bane, The Joker, and more.
However, if you pick up the Deluxe Edition, then a new story mission is included that has you controlling The Joker and Harley Quinn as they escape Arkham Asylum. There’s also Mayhem Mode, where they’ll be playable, as you wreak havoc on Gotham City. Both pieces of content will be out in September 2026.
As for launch, three item packs will be available – the Arkham Trilogy Pack, Batman Beyond Pack and Party Music Pack, alongside the Sinister Pack for new suits.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight arrives on May 22nd for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version arriving at a later date.
