Lego is the one constant- of all the popular pop culture media properties, Lego is the one force that unites them all, spanning so many different universes, crossing nerd boundaries, and just providing a whimsical reinterpretation of properties ranging from Harry Potter, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones, Batman, Justice League, The Hobbit, and more.

Add two more to the list, as Lego just announced Lego Jurassic World and Lego Marvel’s The Avengers, presumably both timed to coincide with Jurassic World and Avengers: Age of Ultron respectively.

Jurassic World will be the first time we get to see a T-Rex in all of its Lego glory, while Avengers isn’t the first Marvel Lego game, as we did get the excellent Lego Marvel Heroes before this.

“The LEGO videogame franchise remains a cornerstone of our business, consistently delivering fun, engaging gameplay and remarkable humour both kids and adults love,” said David Haddad, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “We look forward to expanding the successful series with this very exciting line-up of new LEGO experiences for players of all ages to enjoy on console, handheld and mobile gaming devices.”

“This year will be the biggest yet for LEGO videogames with these incredible titles and several firsts for the series,” said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games. “TT Games are crafting humorous LEGO adventures, based on new stories and characters across some of the most well-known and iconic worlds.”

Both games are due out on PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and PC.
