Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII Footage Shows Shops and Customization In Action

Shopping and Customization in LR: FFXII

Posted By | On 08th, Nov. 2013

Square Enix have released a new video which gives us a bit of insight into what we can expect from the shopping and customization elements of the upcoming installment in the Final Fantasy series, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. One of the most complained about features of the first installment of the Final Fantasy XIII sub series was the confusion in regard to the customization system.

As a result the shopping and weapon customization systems have been a huge focus in development moving forward. In Lightning Returns, we hope to see the pinnacle achievement in terms of the potential of the system presented in this series, and from the looks of things, we may be there. Players will be able to customize the outfits, weapons, and armor worn by lightning, and those changes will be reflected in both battles and cutscenes.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XII will release for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (via hard copy and digital download on the PSN) for $59.99 on February 11, 2014.
