Yesterday, a commotion was created when several job listings appeared for Lionhead Studios advertising work for a “cutting edge new title” and a “AAA First Party production.” No mention was made of the studio’s pending Fable Legends though, which was delayed for the Xbox One and due to release in this year.

However, it now seems that this new title and Fable Legends are indeed separate. The Linkedin profile for animator Franck Laurin indicates that he is working as a senior animator on “Fable Legends and Un-announced project”. No other information has been provided but this is enough to confirm that a brand new game is on the way.

The question is, what could it be? A brand new Fable title? The last major release was the Kinect-focused Fable: The Journey while Fable Anniversary, a remake of the first game, is due to launch in February. What are your thoughts on what the upcoming project could be? Let us know in the comments.
