Animation Arts, the creators of the  acclaimed Lost Horizon, today announced Lost Horizon 2 will launch on PC this fall. Lost Horizon 2 will see a number of major jumps mechanically, including a transition from the 2D scrolling of the original to a full 3D space; however, that transition will still retain the charm of the original, as the game’s graphics will still be hand crafted.

Studio Lead Marco Zeugner said, “We are delighted to bring the next installment of the adored Lost Horizon series to our fans, and with the natural progression of the story and characters, combined with technological advancements across all aspects of the game that we’ve made, we feel sure that both historical fans of the titles and new fans alike will love Lost Horizon 2.”

Lost Horizon 2 will continue the story Fenton Paddock, and make his struggle far more personal this time around. The game will launch on August 28 in Germany, and October 2 everywhere else.
