Destiny 2 Luminous Engrams Will Automatically Decrypt And Be Sent To Your Inventory With Weekly Resets

One more thing to keep track of as you grind your Light Level.

One of the tips to get your Light Level high in Destiny 2 – once you hit the soft level cap of 260, at any rate – has been to hoard your Luminous Engrams, and only decrypt them once you are at Light Level 260 or above. This is because unlike other of the game’s drops, they aren’t set in terms of their power- instead, upon decryption, they will always net you gear with higher power levels than what you currently have equipped.

As it turns out, this trick isn’t as useful as you might have thought- this is because with every weekly reset, any encrypted Luminous Engrams you might have will be automatically decrypted and sent to your inventory, as discovered by many Reddit users. So basically, the tip still applies- but you need to plan around a forced decryption for your Engrams at the end of every week.

So keep that in mind! Destiny 2 is available on PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC version coming next month.
