Well, one American football league, the XFL, is dead (again), and the COVID-19 pandemic hangs over the NFL season this year. While hopefully, everything will normalize by September (when the season usually begins), it’s hard to say for sure. But, at the very least, we’ll probably still have virtual football with the annual release of Madden NFL. The 2020 edition will probably get revealed soon, but the cat is out of the bag about who will grace the cover.
A post from the official Twitter of the Baltimate Ravens revealed that the quarterback of the team, Lamar Jackson, will be the face of Madden NFL 21. There’s a brief video where Jackson himself talks about the announcement. The official Madden Twitter chimed in after, with a humorous confirmation.
No official press release or materials have actually gone out yet, nor a timeline for its release. Most likely it will follow the same time frame as previous years, but whether the current outbreak delayed that or not is up in the air. We’ll keep you updated as more official information comes out.
