‘Major Game’ To Come Free With All Xbox One Purchases

Xbox One gamers rewarded with w free game!

Posted By | On 20th, Aug. 2013

In an effort to reduce complaints about the high price of the upcoming Xbox One, and to help bolster the packages value, a “major game” from an unnamed third party developer will come free with the purchase of every Xbox One system. Reports are that the game has a $40 dollar value, which is an attempt to bridge the $80 or so gap between price points of the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox one.

Also worth noting is that Microsoft has lessened their initial launch scope from 21 to 13 countries, in attempt to better focus their efforts. They have a large publicity campaign planned for Gamescom 2013.

This certainly seems like a gamble on Microsoft’s part, as failure to increase sales with this added package bonus could potentially costs the company millions. With Microsoft already hemorrhaging money due to debacles such as Windows 8 and the Surface Tablet line, the Xbox One could potentially be their saving grace. Or it could be the nail in their proverbial coffins.

Which do you think it will be?
