Major Tekken Announcement Coming July 7

Tekken never goes out of style.

Tekken-7

Tekken 7 is currently due for a release in arcades some time soon, with the console and (hopefully!) PC versions following shortly from there. What this means is that Tekken news is now beginning to come in thick. And one such major announcement is planned for July 7, according to the official Twitter account of the ‘Tekken Project.’

What could this major news be? It could be anything from the announcement of a new character, or maybe modes, for Tekken 7, to news of an upcoming remaster (or remasters) of past Tekken game(s)- certainly, the callout to the 20th Anniversary of the franchise seems to indicate that the latter may be a very real possibility. Of course, remasters of fighting games aren’t always the best idea, mostly given their technical shallowness and obsolescence compared to their successors, but Tekken is popular enough that it may just pull it off.
