A man in San Francisco, who had arranged to make a sale of a PlayStation 4 online, was robbed of the system and then fatally shot once he got to the pre-arranged place, Mercury News reports.
The victim, who was a man in his early 20s, was shot multiple times, and when he was found and rushed to the hospital later, he was pronounced dead.
The police have described the suspect as an adult male, and unfortunately, that is all they have. They have set up an official hotline, and anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call San Francisco police at 415-575-4444 or send a text to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the subject line. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
Unfortunately, this is not the first instance of there being violence around console launches- Sony’s PlayStation systems, in particular, always prompt shootings and robbings, with the PlayStation 3 launch being marred by many such ugly incidents, reflecting the high demand for the systems, especially at launch.
Hopefully, this is the last such incident that we ever have to report.
