Manhunt Trademark Renewed By Take Two

Manhunt 3? Or just a re-release, maybe...?

Posted By | On 15th, Jan. 2018

Do you remember Manhunt? It was gruesome, violent, over the top, and hugely controversial. The IP has remain dormant since the release of Manhunt 2 a decade ago on Wii (seriously), but it seems like Rockstar and Take Two may be looking into bringing it back in some way.

Apparently, Take-Two has renewed the trademark for the IP- this comes after three years of inactivity on the brand. Now, in and of itself this means nothing (Take Two could just be preemptively guarding its IP, or this could indicate at best a re-release via PS2 Classics or something)- but it does indicate that the company considers it a “live” brand, if nothing else.

Now, again, this might not mean anything (and Rockstar has a lot of other dormant brands they could stand to get to first anyway)- but for Manhunt fans who want a follow-up, maybe there might be some hope for you after all?
