Nintendo has released some new information (translation via DeepL) and gameplay for Mario and Luigi: Brothership, the next mainline title in the RPG series launching this Fall. The footage highlights special attacks that Mario and Luigi can use during combat. Check them out below.

Aside from the heroes, other characters include Connetta and Tapu, who support them and provide more information on Concordia. As players explore the land’s drifting islands, they’ll encounter other unique sites. There’s Grangrand Island, whose residents focus on creating and displaying various hard objects.

Then there’s Twis Island, full of nature and housing the Twiss Tree; Sabretta Island, where birds seem to kidnap the residents; Xenia Lever Island and its economic-driven denizens; and Kandahn Island, composed of magma and ice.

As for combat, timing button presses is important to take full advantage of a Combination Attack (which turns into a solo attack if either character goes down). The giant thunderstorm, “Thunder Dynamo,” is a Brother Attack, which requires Brother Points but deals massive damage.

Mario and Luigi: Brothership launches on November 7th for Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
