Mario Kart 8 Receiving Free 200cc Mode

Second DLC pack coming on April 23rd instead of May.

Among the many announcements that Nintendo made during its recent Nintendo Direct presentation, it also revealed new content for previously released titles like Mario Kart 8. It will be receiving a new, free 200cc mode which will make both older and newer tracks even faster than before. When you consider that 150cc was the fastest, you have to wonder how crazy 200cc will be.

Mario Kart 8’s second DLC pack also has a new release date – it will be out on April 23rd, a full month before its original release date. At $8, it offers four vehicles, eight courses – including an Animal Crossing track which will offer different seasons with each playthrough – and three new characters with Isabelle, Dry Bowser and Villager.

If that’s not enough, there will be nine Mii racing suits compatible with Amiibo for characters like Mega Man and Pac-Man. Stay tuned for more information on the free 200cc mode in the coming weeks.
