Mario Maker Trailer Showcases Classic Design Styles for Custom Courses

Create your own courses and customize them to your heart's desire.

Nintendo kicked off The Game Awards 2014 with Shigeru Miyamoto via satellite presenting a new trailer for Mario Maker, a Wii U title in which players could create their own custom Mario courses.

In a short, new trailer for the game, Miyamoto showcased the different styles in which players could create their courses. You’ll choose from a variety of graphical styles – ranging from classic Mario Bros. to Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. Players can create their own obstacles, customizing enemies and much more.

To make things better, classic Nintendo composer Koji Kondo will also be working on the game as the sound composer and music director. Kondo opened the show with what else but the classic Mario Bros. tune on the piano.
