Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle New Trailer Features Mr. Videogame, Mario, Himself

Mario's unique abilities in this turn based strategy RPG crossover shown off in new trailer.

The unlikeliest of all crossovers, Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle caught everyone by surprise this past E3 not just at its sheer existence – that, after all, had been leaked weeks and even months ahead of time – but at just how good it looked. People expected it to be a throwaway game. Instead, it looks like one of the best inbound titles this year.

With the release of the game coming up in just a little over three weeks, Ubisoft and Nintendo are now sharing new media and trailers for the game. Including this new one, which features Mario himself, perhaps to give us an idea of just how he fits into this game’s take on the whimsical Mushroom Kingdom.

The trailer walks us through the unique abilities that Mario will have in this game, and how they will fit into the larger framework of the game’s take on the XCOM battle system. You can check it out for yourself below. Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle launches exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on August 29.
