However, it looks like the PS5's release is still quite far away.

There have been plenty of rumors going around regarding the development and release of the PS5. Now, in a new report by Digital Foundry, we have learnt that Mark Cerny, the man behind the PS4 has already started  talking to developers about the development of the PS5.

Many attribute the success of the PS4 to the abilities of Mark Cerny who was the console’s lead architect. According to the report, he has been engaged in talks with with developers about their “needs for the next-gen PlayStation.” The report predicts that the PS5 will be out only by the last quarter of 2019 at the earliest. This is in line with what we have heard before and it certainly seems like the release of the next-generation console is still quite far away.

Hopefully, we’ll get some official information about this soon enough. When do you think the PS5 will be out? Let us know in the comments.
