The Witcher is one step closer to launching its Netflix series with show runner and writer Lauren S. Hissrich having penned the pilot and been sharing details on Twitter. When earlier this week, she shared an outline of the Witcher mentor, Vesemir, it was suggested that Mark Hamill will fit the bill perfectly, something that the actor would then echo.
Hissrich would describe the aged Witcher as fatherly, wise, a historian and keeper of secrets, among other traits that you can see in the full tweet below. When a fan went on to note the similarities to Hamill’s most famous role, Luke Skywalker, and suggested that Hamill would be the perfect fit, the actor chimed in as well, saying that he has no idea what the series was about, but he agreed that he could or should be played by him.
Hamill is far from a one trick actor, and has had many famous roles outside of the Star Wars series over the years. While he’s most famous for Luke Skywalker and Batman’s foil, The Joker, Hamill has over 300 acting credits on IMDB.
VESEMIR IS:
Fatherly.
Wise.
Sprightly (despite the fact that he's…)
Ancient.
