Mark Wahlberg playing Drake in Uncharted movie

In an interview with MTV, Mark Wahlberg confirmed that he will be playing the role of Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted movie.

Directed by David Russell, the movie is in development phase right now.

He told in the interview:

“David is one of the best writer/directors I’ve ever worked with,” said Wahlberg. “The idea that he has is just insane. So hopefully we’ll be making that movie this summer.”

He also confirmed that the Director was interested in casting Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro in the film.

“Hopefully we’ll be making that movie this summer,”

“I’m obviously in whatever David wants to do but the idea of it is so off the charts: De Niro being my father, Pesci being my uncle. It’s not going to be the watered-down version, that’s for sure.”

This might be go either ways, we will have to wait for the movie to release to find out.
