Tribute Games (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge) and Dotemu (Streets of Rage 4) have announced a new Marvel beat ’em up title. Marvel Cosmic Invasion is out later this year for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch, and features the heroes uniting against Annihilus. Check out the first trailer below.
Boasting a pixel art style that brings Captain America and the Avengers to mind, Cosmic Invasion includes 15 playable characters like Spider-Man, Wolverine, Phyla-Vell, Nova, Storm, Venom, and many more. The biggest hook is the Cosmic Swap system, where you can choose two heroes and instantly swap between them.
Swapping at the right time allows for different combos, special attacks, and more. As for multiplayer, local and online play are supported alongside a drop-in/drop-out system.
