Recently at San Diego Comic-Con, Insomniac premiered a new story trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2offering another look at how the highly anticipated sequel is shaping up, as well as the new and updated character models many of the story’s most important players will boast. Visually, the game has certainly made a strong impression with what’s been shown of it so far, and according to the developer, it’s going to look even better by the time the final game comes out.

Taking recently to Twitter and responding to a tweet remarking on the new and updated facial models for some of the game’s main characters, Insomniac’s director of community and marketing said that the game will look “even better by launch.” Though graphical downgrades are something that players often end up having to deal with many many releases, Sony’s first party titles have generally done a great job of actually improving their visuals with their final releases, so fans will be pleased to know that Insomniac looks set to follow suit with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Meanwhile, new screenshots from the game have also been revealed, showing the likes of Miles, Peter, and Harry and Norman Osborne. Check them out below.

To go along with the game’s newest trailer, Insomniac has also revealed new details on its story and some of its key characters, as well as how the traversal mechanics and open world will expand on the previous two games.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on October 20 for PS5. Sony has also revealed a new Limited Edition PS5 Bundle- check it out through here.
