Remember PuddleGate? It was one of the most thoroughly ridiculous strangely amusing to happen with Marvel’s Spider-Man before its launch in 2018. Insomniac Games moved some puddles in the game around during development, and a surprising number of people took that to mean that the game had seen visual downgrades (which it hadn’t, of course).
Well, you won’t have to worry about any such confusion with the upcoming Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Over on Twitter, Insomniac Games community manager James Stevenson has revealed the news we’d all been waiting to hear with bated breath about- the puddles in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be ray-traced, thanks to the PS5’s improved hardware. Rejoice.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is out this holiday as a launch title for the PS5. After some confusion as to the game’s nature, Insomniac recently confirmed that it’s a standalone, separate entry in their Spider-Man universe- not an expansion or remaster.
They are ray-traced now
