HUMAN-REAPER HYBRID BOSS FIGHT (MASS EFFECT 2)
The “nothing in life is perfect” motif returns again. Mass Effect 2 is an absolutely seminal game, and remains one of BioWare’s best games ever, and perhaps even one of the greatest games ever made. But even it’s not without its issues- the final boss fight being chief amongst them. Now, the idea of a human-Reaper hybrid is actually a really cool one on paper, and certainly makes sense within the context of the game’s story, which sees Reapers and Collectors abducting entire human colonies. But the actual boss fight is… not that great. It’s a generic, plain affair, and it doesn’t help that the actual visual design of the hybrid isn’t anything to write home about.
