NO MORE PARAGON OR RENEGARE

Many would say the Paragon/Renegade mechanic is the identity of the Mass Effect series, so understandable, the news that it would be absent in the upcoming Andromeda was met with reactions that were mixed at best and negative at worst. However, BioWare’s reasoning actually made sense. They say that the Paragon/Renegade mechanic was “very Shepard”, and seeing as Commander Shepard won’t be playing a part in Andromeda, it made sense to remove it altogether so that the game could build an identity of its own. BioWare have also talked about how they want to move away from binary good/bad decisions in favour of more morally grey ones, and that couldn’t work very well if the Paragon/Renegade system was still a thing. We do, however, know for a fact that cutscene interrupts will still be featured in Andromeda, so we’re curious to see how that will work.
