Mass Effect Andromeda

When it comes to being coy about their projects, Bioware might be the best in the business. We all know the company is working on Mass Effect: Andromeda but they are also working on a new IP that for now is being kept almost completely under wraps. The company has mentioned they are working on this new project but they haven’t even been willing to mention the name.

The development team has been teasing fans for the last couple of months about how much progress they are making with both of these projects and earlier this week Cameron Lee announced the group had almost landed on an official name for the new IP. Specifically, Lee stated on Twitter that the company had “almost settled” on a name for the new game. He also said it had taken six months of debate. Lee was asked whether or not he could shed some light on the eliminated names. Unfortunately he wasn’t very forthcoming about those names, though he said it sounded like an idea he should look into well after the fact.

Back on the Mass Effect news, Bioware’s Fabrice Condominas took to Twitter to announce that he had been playing a build of the game as a way to test out how far the company had gotten. When he mentioned he was very much enjoying himself, Bioware’s Michael Gamble replied, “wait until you see tomorrow’s…” We’re all waiting until we can get a real hands on Mass Effect: Andromeda which is slated for release before Q1 2017 ends.
