Mass Effect Andromeda New Video Shows Off The Nomad In Depth

Not the Mako.

Posted By | On 09th, Mar. 2017

The Mako in the original Mass Effect was used to explore the surfaces of planets that you landed on. It’s making a return in Mass Effect Andromeda– or it is in spirit, anyway. The Nomad is the new planetary exploration vehicle in Mass Effect Andromeda, and it will hopefully control far better than the Mako ever did, which was famously so bad it became a meme among Mass Effect fans.

This new video, courtesy of IGN, shows off the Nomad in depth, including driving it around and upgrading it so that it has more capabilities. It looks far better thought out than the first game’s Mako ever did- though that follows from the simple fact that Bioware’s games in general are far less janky now than they were then.

Mass Effect Andromeda is due out on March 21 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Make sure to watch the video below and let us know what you think in the comments section.
