Fans of Bioware’s science fiction space opera epic- it looks like the next entry in the beloved Mass Effect franchise is far sooner than expected. Bioware today announced that Mass Effect Andromeda would be launching on March 21 in North America, and on March 23 in Europe, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Speaking in the blog post announcing the release date, Bioware’s Aaryn Flynn, General Manager said, “We’re just a couple of months away from delivering a brand new Mass Effect experience to you for the first time in five years – richer, deeper and ready for exploration. We’re excited about how far we are going with the franchise, and we hope you find it’s been worth the wait.”
Mass Effect Andromeda carries monumental expectations- it follows the controversial Mass Effect 3, which had a less than satisfactory ending for the trilogy in a lot of fans’ estimation, and is the first entry in the franchise in five years- hopefully, it lives up to the wait.
