Bioware is busy plugging away on Mass Effect: Andromeda, its current generation sequel and return to the sci-fi universe which inspired both love and hate with its trilogy. There isn’t a whole lot we know about the game at this point, aside from the fact that it takes place in a universe far away and doesn’t involve Commander Shepard but there will be plenty to like about it.
According to senior development director Chris Wynn on Twitter, one should, “Be open minded to a Mass Effect with no Shepard, it can be good.”
When asked if there was an approximate time period for when the game would be out, Wynn simply replied, “Not yet.”
Mass Effect: Andromeda is due to release in the Holiday 2016 season, though that can honestly change at any time in today’s industry. It will be out on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Are you looking forward to a game without Shepard? Let us know in the comments.
