Mass Effect movie has a new screenwriter

So it DOES still exist?

The Mass Effect movie- yes, it still exists- which was earlier being written by Mark Protosevich (who wrote the screenplay for I Am Legend) is now being written by Morgan Davis Foehl.

Foehl hasn’t really ever gotten to write scripts for a movie, but his script for a thriller called Whatever Gets You Through The Night, which never saw the light of the day, got into Hollywood’s 2009 Black List, meaning it was one of the best non-published scripts around.

He is also known for his work as co-editor of I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry and Click.

Legendary Entertainment signed Foehl on for the project for his love for the Mass Effect franchise and for having penned several action pics with a “strong espionage bent”.

The crew is forming up nicely so far, and maybe, just maybe this will be a good movie (it shows potential for sure). Now only if Legendary announced in a few days that Matthew Fox is portraying Commander Shepard, and I’m sold.

Who do you think should play Shepard in the movie? Tell us in your comments below.
