Maxis, the studio that brought us The Sims franchise, has a new studio head in Rachel Franklin. This is after former studio head Lucy Bradshaw recently left, having spent 23 years at the developer and taking over for Will Wright when he left in 2009.

EA Andrew Wilson said in a statement (via Games Industry International) that, “Through 23 years with our company, Lucy has brought an incredible passion for games and our player community.

“I want to thank Lucy for her dedication to EA, her contributions to Maxis, and the creative spirit she infused in every one of her teams and projects. We wish her the best as she takes on her next adventure.”

Though Maxis has been moved to EA’s mobile label, it will continue work on The Sims 4 and other games. What are your thoughts on Bradshaw leaving especially after being with the studio for so long? Let us know in the comments below.
