The PS3 and PS Vita meanwhile continue to thrive.
The latest Media Create charts for the week of March 9th to 15th are available and it seems that Sega’s Yakuza series still has a strong following in Japan. The latest edition Yakuza 0 was the number one selling title across all platforms, selling 145,823 units on the PS3. However, it also helped the PS4 to become the highest selling console of the week with 90,506 units sold on the current gen console.
Nintendo’s Mario Party 10 also debuted in Japan on the Wii U and managed to sell 50,212 units. Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth helped support the PS Vita with 76,760 units sold in its first week and the PSP is still going strong thanks to Uta no Prince-Sama: All Star After Secret which sold 67,237 units in its first week (compared to 25,494 units sold on the 3DS).
Meanwhile, the only other 3DS title in the top ten was The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D which sold 15,941 units in the past week for total lifetime sales of 381,702 units.
